Pests can be controlled at times by modifying the pest surroundings. With behavior & habitat modification programs, we work to change the environment in which the pest is accustomed.
If they are getting in the house through a hole, we seal it. If rats are accessing your roof we evaluate the building and the surrounding trees. Sometimes it is a simple trimming back of the branches that are within 2’ of the structure. If your trees are getting gnawed on, we evaluate the surrounding harborage and create a program to effectively reduce the habitat and population, in some cases no rodenticides or traps are necessary. Behavior modification can include the use of gels or irritants to deter pests by their own choice. For example, a bird lands on the ledge in gel with a pepper base, the bird soon learns that that ledge is uncomfortable and migrates elsewhere.
